About Me
I am a father, son, brother and partner. I have lived on 3 different continents and in different cultures through my life. After graduating from Oxford University, I started my career as a commercial lawyer in the City of London, but gravitated toward working with the homeless population and volunteering to legally represent the disadvantaged. I have been privileged to bear witness to a wide range of people, and experiences, to share their inner struggles and eventual triumphs, and to share our common humanity. In my late 20s this increasingly drew me towards a desire to make sense of the complexities of the lives I witnessed, including my own. It led to a deep curiosity in our human experience and how we navigate and transcend the inevitable challenges and losses, small and great, and occasional overwhelm of our lives. Ultimately, I decided to study the approaches of clinical psychology and psychotherapeutic models to pursue a career in mental health. By understanding how these clinical models overlay with the valuable existential frameworks I had encountered, I have been able to develop an holistic and evidence based practice. I now have over 12 years experience working therapeutically with clients both individually and in groups, including recently working with Headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Program in Australia. I love my work, and the clients that I am privileged to work with. I continue to learn exponentially from my clients, and from life itself.
